Welcome to John’s Woodworking Resource. The aim of this site is to provide actual, usable resources for woodworkers. I’m not attempting to reinvent the wheel here, though. Rather than trying to write my own treatise on woodworking, the aim here is to provide and document quality resources I have found on the web that relate to woodworking. I’ll throw my own thoughts in as they come, but there are some great things on the internet and you really can learn a lot if you can just find what you are looking for! Hopefully this will help.
- Tool Reviews - I love tools. Sometimes I think working on my shop is more fun than building furniture. Anyway, I research tool purchases intensely. I often spend hours online researching the best tools for the best price. Because of this lengthy research, I am of the opinion that the tools I purchase represent the best value available. I’m going to try to make it easy for anyone who is interested and tell you which tools are the best (for the money) and, more importantly, why these tools are the best.

- Shop Tour - The only thing I don’t like about my shop is that it is too small! I have spent a lot of time building and setting up the perfect shop. The layout and planning alone took me weeks to determine the absolute best placement for each machine. Check out my shop and I’ll give you some good pointers on setting up your own shop.
